Affiliate disclosure

Effective: May 5, 2026

Partners

nemi participates in the following affiliate programs:

  • Amazon Associates (Amazon JP)
  • Rakuten Affiliate
  • Qoo10 Affiliate
  • @cosme Affiliate

How it works

Buttons on a product's detail page like "View on Amazon", "Buy on Rakuten", "View on Qoo10", and "View on @cosme" are affiliate links to those partner retailers.

When a user clicks one of these links and then makes a purchase on the partner's site within their respective tracking window, nemi receives a commission from the partner.

Users pay no additional fee. Product prices are the same as the partner's regular retail prices.

No influence on scoring

This affiliate relationship does NOT influence nemi's product scores, ingredient safety ranks, or the selection of similar products.

Scores and safety ranks are calculated by a deterministic algorithm built on publicly available third-party safety data (EWG Skin Deep, cosmetic-ingredients.org, the JCIA INCI register, and others). See scoring methodology for details.

Similar products are ranked by ingredient profile similarity. Affiliate partners, commission rates, and sponsorship status are not considered.

Brand-paid evaluations

nemi does not accept payment from brands or manufacturers in exchange for higher scores, preferential placement in similar-products listings, or any specific safety rating.

nemi is not a "brands pay us to evaluate" business. It is an "we evaluate independently from public safety data" business. Affiliate income is performance compensation that arises only when users choose to purchase — never compensation for the evaluation itself.

Compliance with Japan's anti-stealth-marketing rules

Effective October 1, 2023, Japan's Premium Display Act (景品表示法) Article 5(3) requires that material connections to the products being represented be made obvious to consumers. nemi satisfies this site-level disclosure requirement through this page and through a permanent footer link from every page on the site and within the app.

Buy buttons are clearly labeled with the destination retailer ("View on Amazon", etc.) so users understand they are following a link to a third-party commerce site.

Cookies and tracking

Tapping an affiliate link sends you to the partner retailer's site. From that point, the partner may set their own affiliate tracking cookies and identify your purchases. This is governed by each partner's own privacy policy.
